We bring together families, schools, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and community partners across all sectors to help local youth make healthy choices and avoid substance use.

Since 2017
Raleigh County United for Prevention began in 2017 as the Raleigh County Prevention Coalition.
Through community input, evolving needs, and completion of the National Coalition Academy in 2023, we strengthened our work around primary and secondary prevention strategies.
Today, more than 15 community sectors work together through our coalition to create lasting change and build a healthier Raleigh County. There’s always room for you to join us.
Our coalition meets monthly to share updates, plan prevention efforts, and connect with partners across Raleigh County. Whether you’re a parent, student, professional, or community member, there’s a place for you at the table.

It was an exciting morning at the Raleigh County Commission as they presented their New Direction Grant from opioid settlement funds.
Local organizations brought in summer with a splash as Raleigh County United for Prevention hosted its inaugural Splash Into Summer event.
On Thursday, October 24, 2024, the Raleigh County Prevention Coalition hosted their “Feel the Warmth” event to give back to the community.
